  • Poured into a pint glass with over an inch of nice thick, off-white foam. A little darker than most pale ales. A fair amount of retention with a good amount of lacing.

The aroma is a good mixture of sweet caramel malt and citrus hops (grapefruit). Overall the aroma is on the slight side.

The sweet, caramel malt is up front while the middle transitions from the caramel malts to grapefruit hops, with it finishing hoppy with some bitterness. The bitterness is definitely not over the top. A good mixture of both flavors: sweet and bitter.

Low carbonation with a medium mouth feel that make this beer really smooth to drink. You may have heard the hype and I would say it is all justified. A thirst quenching beer that is really on the high side of ABV in order to session but I don't see a reason why anyone couldn't have quite a few of these.

Once you get past the can you realize that there is some liquid goodness in this can that you will not be able to do without in the future. I really think this beer is more American IPA than pale ale. Enjoy!
