Poured into my Dogfish Head snifter glass (thank you Ed) clear with an inch of off-white, medium foam. Retention was mild with the same amount of lacing.
Surprisingly, since I know this is a huge hop bomb, this has a nice blend of piney and citrus hops along with sweet, caramel malt on the nose. There is also the scent of alcohol.
Wow, I didn't expect this. This beer is somewhat on the sweet side. No ridiculous bitter after taste, just a smooth taste of sweet, caramel malt, piney and grapefruit hops. Earthy undertones as well.
Low amount of carbonation mixed with medium body seem to give this beer a creamy, yummy finish. Very smooth and enjoyable beer to drink. I now know why so many enjoy.
Listen, you can hear the whistle as the hop bomb is dropping down to earth. This is a hop lover paradise but I think those that aren't huge fans of Double IPAs could still enjoy this one as the hop injection isn't as insane as some. Enjoy!
