A: Copper and orange color with slight haze. Soft white smallish foam.
S: Pineapple and mango are super pronounced. A touch of sweetness.
T: Awesome blend of tropical fruits, while some sweetness, a quick grapefruit bitter even it out. Finish taste is more spicy than bitter. Smooth for a 10% abv, the heat is an accent not pronounced.
O: Lush-full candied fruit, and balanced all the way across. These dudes at Pipeworks are nailed IPAs and DIPAs.
Pours clear with minimal white foam and retention. Surprised by the lack of foam on top of this DIPA. Lacing has some gusto: sticky and somewhat thick.
Aroma is tropical, reminding me of Citra: passion fruit, pineapple, and mango. Jumps out of the glass at you. Clean sweetness with a touch of caramel highlights.
Taste is another burst of hops. Once again passion fruit, pineapple, and mango. Grapefruit bitterness hits large in the finish, lingering a bit. Woody flavors are there as well.
Medium body, seemingly heavier up front but lighter towards the end (does that make sense?). Carbonation is light end of medium which is probably an over statement.
This is a solid offering. Great hop profile that is greeted gently by light caramel and sweetness to balance. The alcohol is not noticeable making for a dangerous mix. Enjoy!
