Two Row, Honey Malt and Port Custom Toast
German Brewer’s Gold, Strissespalt Spalt and Czech Saaz
House Lager strain with hybrid fermentation
Poured cloudy with a lot of big bubbled, white foam. Filled the glass several times. Good retention but not much lacing.
Aroma has earthy, grainy malt with fruit and some clove. Malt aroma is quite big.
The taste is of malt, clove, graininess, and fruit. A little bitterness at the end. Some funk at the end.
Big carbonation and medium body. Not my favorite of the Belgian styles but still a good beer. I wouldn't go out of my way for this again or the style, but if you like the style this would definitely be one to give a whirl. Enjoy!
