Poured clear with lots of off-white, frothy, sticky foam. I poured into a tulip and had to pour the beer four times to get it the entire contents into the glass. Retention was awesome and some pretty lacing throughout.
Aroma is beautiful: big pine and floral hops with a backbone of malt (caramel and bread). Aroma is surprisingly pleasant.
The aroma gave me the idea that I was going to enjoy a nice IPA but the taste parts ways. Bread and caramel malt with a more subdued pine and floral hop tastes. There is a slight bread and hop bitterness/aftertaste.
Light carbonation, medium body, and some hop oil/creaminess that coats the teeth (minor).
This beer is right on in terms of being a hit with me from the initial pour, then comes the great aroma, followed by a crisp drinking beer. They obviously bumped up the hops at the end of the boil or dry hopped this baby. Get a fresh bottle so you can enjoy the dreamy aroma. Enjoy!
