Pours crystal clear. Half-inch of snow white foam. Quickly recedes. Nary any lacing.

Aroma is subtle but floral, herbal, pepper and off the shelf saison yeast. Not quite what the can declares on the side.

Taste is more of the same. Finishes quickly. Bitterness builds: herbal and pepper.

Finishes dry. Medium body. Carbonation is light, small bubbled. Not crisp.

A nice offering but nothing out of the ordinary. Would like to have had it less than two months old as I think the hops have fallen, leaving more of the yeast profile. Alas, I may only rate the beer in front of me. Based on this sample, I would not have this beer again unless given to me. Enjoy!

Beer Notes
  • La Maison, our “house” French farmhouse saison, is our tribute to the vibrant and varied saison style. Aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest contribute fragrant notes of citrus, grapefruit and pine; and a generous dose of Indiana clover honey from Hunter’s Farm creates a bright, refreshing body. Enjoy a sip of the summer season any time of year.
