Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial and Mt. Hood
Poured clear with a half-glass, off-white, thick, tightly packed foam that seemed almost like meringue. Had some retention to almost the last drop. Some lacing.
Aroma of sweet and bread malt. Pine hops.
Taste has big bready malt backbone. Sweet up front, with pine hops in the middle, finishing with bread malt. Grapefruit flavor aftertaste.
Low carbonation and medium body in which the aftertaste was left out there too much for me.
Less than expected. This beer has received a ton of hype so I was really interested and enthusiastic to try it. Beer was received in the mail and probably poured a week before I drank it, maybe this was cause for my review. No matter, it is a good IPA but not a great IPA like most seem to think. Enjoy!
