Pours clear with an inch of frothy, off-white foam. Retention is outstanding. The top becomes rocky with popped pockets of bubbles indenting on the thick crop. Lacing is immediate, throughout, and creates rings.

Aroma is pineapple, pine, orange and herbal, possibly grass. That "typical" rye comes through in the nose as well. Pleasant and not over powering.

Sweet up front with a dash of rye that lasts. Lasting bitterness. The hops take over quickly but is more pine forward in the mouth. The pine carries into the aforementioned bitterness along with spiciness from the rye - it almost sticks on the tip and sides of the tongue. Orange and pineapple are there but more as it warms.

Medium body with adequate carbonation. Dries. Creaminess at times.

This is your standard American IPA with a stiff bitterness. Not the "in" thing but well made and pleasant. The bitterness is a bit out there but doesn't bother me much, it reminds of the IPAs I used to drink: memory lane. Enjoy!
