Poured cloudy with a nice frothy, off-white foam. Nice retention and some quality lacing. Appears more to the eye as an IPA than an APA.
Caught the aroma immediately after I popped the cap: lots of pleasant hops on the nose. A good blend of pine and citrus hops. Evidence of some sweetness. Like the eyes, gives the nose the idea it is an IPA.
Does this beer live a double life? The hops on the nose aren't as big but are still the main focus of the taste. There is some sweetness, although minor. I get citrus, pine, and even some floral hops. Beer finishes somewhat earthy.
Medium carbonation and a light end of medium body. Good for the style. Hop oils sustain on my lips.
A nice twist of an APA. The combination of the hops in the aroma make this beer jump out at you from the start. Don't know if this beer gets the right amount of recognition on the web; it needs to start. I will seek this out again. Enjoy!
