  • Poured clear into my snifter glass. Foam was not much more than a layer of white bubbles to begin as it quickly became a wreath if light bubbles around the side of my glass. Lacing, some here and there but not much to speak of.

Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and some pumpkin. The nutmeg is the strongest of the scents but overall, for an imperial, not as strong as might be expected.

The taste is almost exactly the aroma. Spices and pumpkin with a touch of hop bitterness at the very end (and I mean touch). Sweet but that is the extent of the malt bill as they really allow the pumpkin (including spices) to shine through.

Light body and a little bit more carbonation than I wanted here. A slight creaminess with a bit of drying out at the end. The alcohol is non-detectable making this a dangerous easy drinker.

Not as big and good of a beer as I had been led to believe. Nevertheless it is a really good pumpkin beer that is worthy of your time and taste buds. If the malt bill and/or hops was bigger to help balance, this beer would be out of site. Enjoy!
