  • Had this on tap at brewpub in a snifter glass. Nice brown finger of foam. Retention was minimal before no foam was left. Slight blotchy lacing.

Aroma is full of bourbon with spice, oak, molasses, vanilla, and lemon from a spice named cardamom they use.

Taste of sweet molasses with slight tartness and lemon - really almost refreshing and clean on the palate, bourbon. Bourbon is there in the finish and after taste with a nice heat on the slide down.

Big body and medium carbonation with a slight creaminess make this a big beer.

A really smooth, sipping beer that I enjoyed with lunch. I wish I could take home a growler of this stuff. They use Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels which comes through in the taste and helps to keep the beer smooth. Enjoy!
