Poured with a slight haze (not a chill haze as this was out for a while). A two pour size foam that was frothy and white. Retention was awesome and left a real sticky, sheet lacing on the glass.
Citrus, yes citrus take the forefront on the sniffer - not overpowering but a pleasant aroma. Sweet caramel hops to balance along with a tinge of rye spiciness (really light).
Taste is sweet up front with a middle that is more transitional between the sweet and citrus hops. Finish is citrus hops with a touch of the rye spice. Just enough to know it is there. Bitter after taste.
Light carbonation and high end of a medium body. Some hop resin and oil coat the mouth and lips.
The rye makes an minor appearance in this brew, although it does hit you at the end of the beer; fine with me as I am not a huge fan of rye. A nice blend of sweet malt and citrus hops - almost perfect for me. Enjoy!
