    On tap into a pint glass. Single finger of brown foam. Retention is about average before becoming a thin mocha layer on top of my beer. Blotchy lacing here and there.

    The aroma is on the light side and I could only make out roasted malt and something I am going to call hop material. It is similar to the aroma of hops in the brew kettle after you have boiled - sort of like used up vegetable matter (best I can explain it). I also thought there was a light oatmeal scent.

    There is a hop bitterness up front with roasted, coffee, and ever so slight chocolate malt presence. It finishes with the same hop material presence while there is a roasted/coffee after taste that peaks about two to three seconds later.

    Light body, even watery, with a medium amount of carbonation.

    I say this with the utmost respect for Flossmoor as this beer was too light all around. It seemed to be missing something. Maybe it was unfair to have after Killer Wood (a big bourbon aged beer) but, either way, that wouldn't have stopped that vegetable matter aroma and taste. Enjoy!
