Poured a touch cloudy into my mason meg glass. Fluffy then frothy, bubbly, off-white foam engulfed my beer having twice the capacity as my beer (poured boldy). Sticky, spider web like lacing.
Aroma is big in the sweet malt department complimented by a nice but not overwhelming floral hop scent. Citrus hops are prancing in the background. A touch of alcohol meets my nostrils every so often along with a biscuit/dough malt scent. Really a lot going on.
Flavor has the big sweet malt balanced by the floral and piney hops. Floral hops has to be the stronger of the two, slightly, with them being so well balanced. The dough malt is there but ever so slightly, similar to the aroma. There is a bitter (grapefruit) hop after taste that lingers a bit.
A medium mouth feel with ample carbonation that feels bit creamy. Dries your mouth out as you continue to drink.
A really nice blend of hop flavors and aroma. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical but I was sleighed by the beer all the way around. The big ABV is well hidden aiding to the overall ability to throw this one down. This is a sliver away from being a nine and might be when I have it again. Enjoy!
