Poured clear with a beautiful white, bubbly foam. Retention was in full retreat quickly, some blotchy lacing.
Aroma is big on hops. Pine, citrus, and grassy hops scents are the most pronounced. There is a big malt back bone that almost seems to be of bread.
Taste isn't as overwhelming as expected, which is good. A nice balance of sweet malt with wave after wave of hops. Citrus, pine, and floral hops mingle throughout the beer. The after taste is bitter, but a quick and short bitter with some floral and mild citrus. Wonderful melding of flavors.
Lots of carbonation combine with a medium body to give one big, drinkable beer that drys in the finish.
There is lots of malt in this hop bomb but it is needed to give some semblance of balance. Probably not hoppy enough for the big hop heads but a definitely worth a try; each time they make it. Enjoy!
