  • Poured clear with a very thin layer of off-white foam. Retention was minimal at best with a tad of lacing throughout.

Aroma of sweet toffee malt. Fruit is of the dark variety: plum and raisin. There is a slight spicy scent that wraps around the alcohol. Towards the end there is more caramel malt.

Taste is big on the caramel and toasted malt with a sweet kick. Slight spiciness in the middle with the dark fruit peaking through strongly. The alcohol is there in the end but only slightly.

Creamy and smooth up front with the carbonation coming late on this medium bodied beer. A nice complex beer that is fun to drink.

This has a drinkability level out in the stratosphere with the complexity and alcohol coming together to form a beer that is easy to drink (okay, sip). Make sure to drink it when it is warm to appreciate it fully. Enjoy!
