  • Poured clear with at least an inch of tan foam that looked a bit sticky and frothy. Good retention for the amount of the foam.

Aroma is smoke, dark fruits (almost vinegar), sweet, caramel, and molasses. This beer is nothing short of bold on the sniffer.

Taste is sweet up front. The middle and even the end of the beginning starts to inject peat smoke which last through the end and even into the after taste. Molasses and dark fruits are part of the middle and end. The peat almost seemed fake and forced.

Body is thick, chewy, and a touch of creaminess on top of a larger than moderate carbonation.

A nice interesting spin on a wee heavy I just had a problem with the peat being so over the top. I don't mind it but I could only have one maybe two at a time tops. Enjoy!
