Poured clear as I could tell into my favorite mason mug. A beautiful, dark tan, and frothy foam about a two inches tall adorns the top of the brew. Great retention that leaves behind a sticky, somewhat web-like lacing.
Aroma is your typical milk stout, which I like. Sweet and roasted aromas intermingle like old friends brought together for a special evening.
Taste is really good. Sweet up front followed by a rush of roasted flavors. Roasted last a bit in the mouth but it is pleasantly done.
Really good amount of carbonation on top of a heavy end of medium bodied beer.
I just brewed a similar beer and I hope that it tastes anywhere near this one. Good stuff. Lake Louie continues to impress with their beers. I look forward to continuing my pursuit of their beers. Enjoy!
