Poured clear with a huge, large bubbled, off white foam. Retention was above average becoming quite frothy on the way down. Lacing began as the foam receded, leaving a webby, sticky, and thick foam on the side of my pint glass. Patchy lacing as the beer is consumed.

Aroma is sweet, toffee, and toasty malt. Maybe even a bit of bready malt. Hop seems be pleasant and crisp but hard for me to place.

Taste is strong on the toffee and sweet malt up front. Toasty takes over in the middle. A subtle and soft hop presence is there in the finish. A slight bitter after taste.

Medium body and medium carbonation might be a little over stated. At times there were hints of creaminess.

I don't know what this beer was like over a month ago, but now it is a strong malt brew that has a subtle hop presence to balance. A easy drinker that isn't filling. A nice winter beer. Enjoy!
