Poured cloudy with a huge bubbly, frothy, tan foam. Retention is really good while the lacing is sticky and web like.
Aroma has nice hops: pine and citrus. Malt backbone is sweet caramel malt but is actually lite to the nose. Good start to this beer.
Taste is sort of thin in the beginning. The middle begins a nice medley of hops: pine and citrus, neither is overly strong. Bitterness arrives in the finish with some hop resin and alcohol.
Body is light end of medium and so is the carbonation. Carbonation hits the back of your teeth along with a slight viscous coating. Some heat from the alcohol, which is nice.
I had to have a few sips before everything really came alive for me. The lack of flavor in the beginning sort of leaves me with a question mark. A few loose ends keep this from being a knockout beer. Enjoy!
