Poured with a modest haze, although the color was darker than expected. Half glass of deep tan, frothy, delicious looking foam. Retention was nice. Lacing is there: sticky and thick.
Aroma has some hops but not that strong. Floral at best. Caramel sweet malt is the definite backbone here with cereal malt too.
Taste sweet up front. Cereal malt in the middle with some hops. It finishes with some meager hop bitterness with toffee and, I would almost say, a bit of smoke.
Not quite a medium bodied beer. Carbonation level suites the beer nicely. Viscous at times.
A good beer that might have been around for a while as the hop profile that this beer seems to be associated with wasn't present. Enjoy!
