Poured clear with minimal tan foam that only lasted for a fleeting moment. Amazingly, blotchy lacing was to be found.
Aroma is almost all malt: bready, toffee, and caramel. Citrus hops was faintly present. The big malt gave me the idea that dark fruits were present but only minimally.
Taste is big on the malt, just like the nose. A bready malt and resinous hop (seems that most of the hops are gone, possibly due to age) last for a while in the after taste.
Much lighter than expected based on the color and aroma. Mild carbonation too.
I have to admit this beer might be a little old and out of date, so my opinion might be biased. The lack of balance mixed with the after taste just isn't all that pleasing to me. A fresh one might make me change my mind. Enjoy!
