Poured clear with a two inch or more tan, frothy foam. Retention was good while lacing was thick, sticky and sheeting.
Aroma is big on citrus hops with resin. A caramel, almost toffee, malt backbone helps to balance.
Taste is built on the malt backbone with the hops taking the show. Citrus and crisp throughout with a bitter edge to the finish. Not long lasting though.
Medium body and ample carbonation while the mouth can be creamy even oily from the hops. Drying.
Seems to come across more as a IPA than an APA. Nevertheless this is a very drinkable and relaxing beer. The hops settle the need for a big IPA while the lightness of it allow for warm day consumption. Enjoy!
