Poured clear with close to an inch of off-white, tightly packed foam. Retention is pretty good with the foam becoming a bit frothy as it recedes. Lacing is there throughout, just nothing fantastic though.
Aroma is pine and citrus hops at the forefront. Malt is mostly caramel but I also seem to get some buttery aroma.
Taste is a malt backbone (caramel and biscuit) with the hops coming near the middle to end. There is a bite of bitterness but not over down. First couple of sips had some alcohol to them.
A medium bodied beer with very little carbonation.
Not a huge fan of English inspired IPAs, let along a DIPA. A solid beer that seemed to have that buttery loose end in the aroma. I would have it again but there are other IPAs from Arcadia I would have before it. Enjoy!
