Poured clear with two inches of thick, frothy, white foam. Retention was good while the lacing was thick, layered, and sticky.
Aroma has a backbone of caramel malt in which their is a fruity, almost juicy tropical, hop profile built on top.
Taste is a carbon copy of the nose. There is the addition of a quite a bit of bitterness in the finish which lingers. It isn't a bitter though that ruins your palate, just tugs your shirt to let you know there are hops in the beer.
Average amount of carbonation on a light end of middle body. Dries out the palate quite readily.
I liked this beer. The hop profile was a nice getaway from the typical American hop profile. Overall a nice balance between sweet and bitter. Enjoy!
