2-Row Pale, Pilsner, Munich Lt., Special Aroma, Pale Crystal, Acidulated
Magnum, Columbus, Chinook, Amarillo, Cascade, Simco
Poured clear with a inch or better of thick, off-white foam. Retention is average at best while the lacing was a bit sticky and here and there.
Aroma is mainly the Belgian yeast which adds the typical spiciness to the beer.
Taste follows from the aroma but with a bit of sweetness that seems to really fall at the end. Some late spiciness in the finish along with some lingering Belgian flavors.
Medium body or lighter. Carbonation is minimal while the beer dries the palate.
This is the definition of a Belgian IPA made in American. A nice beer but I would rather have a straight American IPA. Enjoy!
