To this point this is beer style number five from Magic Hat. It has been hit-or-miss so far. The level of expectation is mediocre. Let's give it a whirl and see what I can pull out of the hat this time.
Not much foam and retention was at zero. So the beer didn't have a pretty top to it! Surprisingly the little bit of foam that was present did leave ten time the lacing versus the amount of foam.
The scent was that of piny hops (as was expected); hints of grass and sweet malts as well.
Moderately carbonated, this beer goes down really easy. The flavors are well balanced and seemed to go through three steps: hops, followed by sweet malt, and finished with a slight bitterness/pininess of hops. Not as hoppy finishing as many IPAs. Well balanced.
Final verdict: equivalent of pulling a big, fat, hairy, fluffy rabbit out of the hat. Enjoy!
