  • Pours clear with a fantastic, half-glass, frothy, deep tan foam. Retention is above average while the lacing begins immediately and is sticky, thick, and web like.

Aroma is all malt: nutty, sweet, roasted, and milk chocolate. Maybe even a hint of tart.

Taste is not much as the beer falls on its face here. Coffee aftertaste with some roasted parts. Slight tartness here too.

Surprisingly thin for a porter with such a promising aroma. Very little carbonation which just takes away from the size of the beer.

I thought I was going to like this beer based on the aroma but it quickly slid downhill, mainly due to the body being so thin. A porter should be at least medium bodied as it is just a "small" stout. Enjoy!
