Poured clear with a almost a half glass, off-white, thick, frothy foam making for a good looking beer. Retention was outstanding with some dry, yet sticky, lacing throughout.
Aroma seemed to be a bit old on the hop end of things (funny how a lot of my beers lately seem to be old). Sweet caramel malts balance with a citrus hop background that is a bit resinous (why I am thinking a bit old).
Taste has some caramel up front, soft and good. The middle brings a bit of hops flavor while the end is almost bread and hops. The hops finish very bitter which lingers. A touch of resinous hops throughout.
Medium body beer with a solid amount of carbonation, maybe medium. A bit viscous yet drying on the mouth.
The lingering hop bitterness to the finish leaves me wanting to find an end to the beer because it hangs out forever (reminds me of what about bob). A solid offering that may have been past its prime, even so just doesn't do anything outstanding within the style. I would have it again but there are a lot of other IPAs I would drink before hand. Enjoy!
