A: Half the bottle filled two pint glasses with off white, medium thick foam. It took 5 minutes to get the 12-ozs into two pint glasses. Color was slightly hazy golden gold.
S: Some grapefruit with tad of orange. Other stuff, maybe rye or very light earthiness.
T: Unique citrus blast and then probably rye, with malt following quickly. Velvety mouthfeel. Then a big hop snap.
D: I love the totally distinct personality of this brew. Not sure there's another brew I'd compare it to. Yes, there's sort of a big, lingering bitterness due to the huge hop prescence and the rye. But, the balance of the brew make this more than a bitter bruiser, it's flavorable at it's core. Another style buster from Shorts, that works.

Pours cloudy with a whole glass full of light tan foam. Retention is long lasting with a thick, sticky, and coating retention.
Aroma is citrus hops: grapefruit and orange with a splash of pine (?). Some sweetness from the malt but subdued.
Taste is a touch of sweet and light than a bombardment of hops and lingering bitterness. The middle is a combination of ryes' spice with citrus hops then the end comes bringing on another wave of hops: grapefruit and some pine. Saying this beer has bitterness is saying the Grand Canyon is a nice hole.
A light body all the way around with a heavier end of light carbonation. Much different then the amount of carbonation shown in the pour.
This beer has more foam than a lot of sour beers. That is only a side note to the amount of hops in the taste. Maybe a little too bitter for me but a still a fun drinking beer. Enjoy!
