  • Bright lemonade look. Meringue like thick white head, quickly falls to hair thin head. Slightest cling to glass.

Aroma: Dry wheat aroma falls into super lemon tartness. Behind that, complicated pleasant 'funk'.

Taste: Carbonated! Like a soda pop! Pleasant, lemony. Tart. No apparent alcohol, which is amazing considering it's 10.9! Zoinks! That is not apparent in either flavor or aroma. Wow!
    So drinkable!

Discussing this beer, I agree that it tastes like a Farmhouse rather than a Tripel. Great Farmhouse. As a tripel... ?
    Therefore: "Not to style"

Pours cloudy with a huge white, meringue foam. For how big the foam is, the retention is quickly fleeting with no lacing to speak of.

Aroma is wheat, Belgian yeast, white grapes, lemon, and some slight earthy funk. No sign of the alcohol at all.

Taste is wheat forward with very little to no wheat. The earthy funk comes out as does lemon, and spice from the Belgian yeast.

Light in the mouth with a huge carbonation that adds body to the beer.

I really like this beer but I don't think that it fits the Tripel category; it is more of a Farmhouse ale to me. Based on that and either, it is a good beer that just doesn't fit the description. Enjoy!

  • Pours a milky yellow with a huge head. Scot said it looks like lemon mirage pie, and that is a perfect description. Head disappears fast.

Aroma is a intense blast of lemon, spice and white grape with a bit of a sourness to it.

Taste matches the aroma nicely, with a bit of a bitterness or sourness on the back end.

Overall this is a really good beer, different, but awesome. Would definitely have again.
