  • This is my first beer from Avery and I have heard good things about their craft. I figured an anniversary issue should throw caution to the wind and come up with an good if not great beer. Enough bs, let's pour.

Pours a thick, white foam that took up half the glass in height. Fair retention and a good amount of lacing throughout. Some thick and some thin.

The aroma is yeast, lemon, and flowery notes. The aroma is light on the nose. There might be some fruity notes also.

The taste is sweetness - possibly from the malt and honey to begin, followed by some citrus/fruitiness and finishes with floral hops, which are mild.

A refreshing beer when running around moving sprinklers to keep the grass green. Light mouth and carbonation make this an easy drinking beer in the warmer months.

If you are looking for "big" beer you might want to pass. If you want something refreshing after sweating in the heat, this is it, but I guess there are better and cheaper beers for that. Enjoy!
