Overall: It's a good honest beer from Big Sky country. Tastes clean and fresh, in my mind the influence of the glacial, mountain water used to brew this beer. I'm not sure I'm a fan of honey in brews, there's a sweetness that's close to my limit. But, it has a light touch, no fault in the after taste, and is thirst quenching. I don't think Big Sky Brewing Co has a huge distribution footprint, and this brew is a seasonal, so keep your eyes peeled and try it out.
Poured into my favorite mason mug with a finger of white foam. Little retention and no lacing to mention.
Upon my first sniff of the beer, if I was a bear I would dive into this beer as it is full of that sweet nectar called honey. Pooh bear! The aroma also has some grassy scents.
Lots 'o sweet, followed by some malt and bready malt. The beer finishes with something that I can't quite put my finger on.
A medium body and carbonation give it a crispness and refreshing taste.
If this was the only beer around, I wouldn't hesitate to have a few, but I hope this isn't the only beer brought to the party. Enjoy!
