Pours clear with three fingers of fluffy white foam. Good retention with some lacing throughout.
Some caramel malt was hiding behind citrus from the orange and grapefruit hops in the aroma. I also pick up some earthy almost musty aroma.
Flavor starts off with the caramel, sweet malt, which then is followed by the earthiness that I found in the aroma. Finishes with some bitterness but hidden underneath is a little orange flavor that sticks its head out. Note: if you drink this one too cold, it is very bitter. Give it a chance to warm up and enjoy a much smoother beer.
Mild carbonation with a medium body. This one finishes a little creamy - not much but enough to let you know it is there. This is a crisp and refreshing beer that is easily enjoyed with some humidty.
I like IPAs and Scurvy fits up there nicely with any other American IPA. Tyranena beers are quickly becoming one of my favorite. Enjoy!
