The off-white, thick head filled my 20 oz. snifter to almost over flowing. Good retention and spider web type lacing (Spiderman was trying to climb out of my glass - pesky bastard). Impressive. Beer poured clear.
Citrus and pine hops intermingle with sweet caramel and bread malt to offer an nice aroma.
Taste of pine and grapefruit up front, both subdued, quickly changing to the sweetness of the caramel and bread malt, ending with stronger injections of the same grapefruit from the beginning. Slightly bitter and dry but refreshing.
Low carbonation and medium mouth feel making for a good mix on the palate - giving the sense of creaminess. Another IPA that hit the target right in the bulls eye. Crisp and refreshing, the ABV keeps this from being a session beer but I would grab one, if I can get it again.
If all American IPAs finished as nicely as Oskar Blues Gordon and Ska Brewing Modus Hoperandi I don't know if I would want to drink anything else in the warm months. Good stuff. Enjoy!
