Pours clear with minimal white foam. Nary any retention. No lacing. Clean and bright.
Orange is big on the nose. Lightly sweet. Touch of maris otter sweetness and nuttiness. Adds a touch of complexity.
Taste brings a balance of malt and hops/fruit. Some bitterness in the finish that builds - it could also be the spiciness of the hops, confused for bitter. Nuttiness. Light pepper and herbal mingle with the orange.
Medium body. Similar carbonation. Dries some but there is orange juiciness fighting it back.
This is an IPA, I know it is a specialty, but I like sticky lacing in an IPA. Overall, solid but not great. I would have this again but, at the price point, wouldn't go out of my way to get it. Enjoy!
