Pours perfectly clear. Huge foam, half glass, of thick, off-white foam. Retention is outstanding. Lacing is almost immediate: thick, sticky and a bunch of it. The glass has been webbed.
Aroma is big on grapefruit, pith/flesh and resin. Sugary sweetness. Light nights of orange and/or tangerine add complexity.
Taste follows the nose. Bitterness is there but not huge, sharing time with less abrasive citrus. Grapefruit with hints of orange/tangerine.
Medium or better mouthfeel. Carbonation is on the low end. Sticky, somewhat dry and chewy at times.
This reminds me of the glory days of a west coast IPA. Well crafted. Tasty. Just a lot less bitterness. The aroma was lighter than I would have liked. Enjoy!

Beer Notes
AON is the first beer I made at the brewery. It is a hop sandwich brewed with Simoce & Columbus Hops, which are the greatest things in the world besides a good smack in the face.
