  • A: Straw color and hazy. Thin white carbonation of medium to small bubbly foam.

S: Mostly citrus and fruity with lower notes of floral and faint pine.

T: First taste was equal mix of herbal, citrus, and woodiness. Most pronounced characteristic is the utter lack of sweet and veers to dry. I first thought a touch of nuts in the toast tasting malt. No alcohol and the hop bitterness is moderate.

O: This is a sophisticated 'new' Amer. Pale Ale without any theatrics. Nose is bigger than taste, and there's zero sweetness to this brew. I am completely and utterly impressed with this ale of low key excellence. Extra points to can dating that includes both canning and drink by dates. I will definitely seek out this beer.

Pours cloudy. An inch of white foam. Retention isn't fantastic, neither is lacing but there is some sporadic lacing.

Aroma of citrus (grapefruit), sweet and light bread. Grass, minimalistic tea and grapefruit.

Taste of sweet and cracker. The hops are more floral and grass. Tea mixes. Grapefruit in the finish that lingers, creating a touch of bitterness.

Light body with medium carbonation. Drying.

This is a great offering. Light but in a well balanced way. Easy to throw this back. Enjoy!
