Pours with a couple of fingers of white foam. Retention is ridiculously good. Lacing is thick and coating, receding to about 40% of glory, leaving spider webs in its wake.
Aroma of nondescript fruit, pear, melon, and light (lemon)grass (lemon is really faint). Hints of cedar as it warms.
Taste is similar to the nose but there is a huge late cedar flavor. Very distinct, very appealing and tasty.
Mouthfeel is on track with below average carbonation that fits the style perfectly. The Sabro hop may be even adding the sense of creaminess in the finish.
This a really cool beer from the standpoint of the cedar flavor that is late in the taste, lingering. It makes me want to get and try out the hop myself. Enjoy!
