Pours with two fingers of tan foam into my favorite mason mug. Some retention with some lacing.
Aroma has some big malt: caramel and grain with slight hint of smoke. I might even detect some alcohol.
Taste begins caramel malt transitioning to brown sugar and more malt, ending with molasses, some smoke with a dried fruit, malty aftertaste. Interesting and huge malt.
Heavy mouth feel with medium carbonation that mixes with the complexity to make a very drinkable beer.
Lots of malt with many hidden treasures for the senses. Really good relaxing beer. Savor two or three rather than guzzling them, the alcohol will catch up with you any way. Enjoy!
Not much head. Aroma has a hint of Scotch. Seems to have too simple of taste and the high alcohol comes out without a balance of flavors. Similar to drinking an average scotch - just not that interesting.
