Purchased eight days ago at the brewery. No date on can.
Pours cloudy with ample white foam to cover. Retention isn't great but does leave a thin, creamy foam behind. Some sticky lacing.
Aroma of ripe tropical fruit, dank and fresh, sweet orange. The ripe tropical fruit are in the forefront.
Taste is sweet with orange starting while the dank and ripe tropical fruit ride sidecar, adding complexity, minimally. There is an orange, citrus finish that has hints of herbal bitterness.
Medium, possibly bigger, body. High end of low carbonation with some sticking on the sides of the tongue. Light, pleasant orange bitterness. Juicy up front, drying and leaving sweet, sticky residue on the lips.
This is a good beer and well made. The orange that takes over in the taste is my favorite for the style. I also feel that too many beers are using Enigma which, for me, gives a strong overripe fruit flavor. Enjoy!
