Poured clear into my prized Dogfish Head snifter. About a single finger of off-white foam that went away like it was being chased. Minimal splotchy lacing.
Aroma is big on malt as should be expected. Sweet, caramel, and brown sugar. Hints of hops and alcohol also hit my nose.
Taste greats with more malt. Sweet, toasty, brown sugar, and even slight grain/bread. The hops hits in the end but, once again, is just there to help balance the large amount of malt. No alcohol here.
Big malt body with ample carbonation to help make the beer easy to drink.
A macro beer but like most of Boston Beer Co. beers they do a good enough job that I enjoy the beer. I wonder sometimes if I did a blind taste test if I would review them so harshly. Enjoy!
