Poured clear with a nice off-white foam. Typical of the style, the foam had better things to do then hang out on top of the beer, but did last longer than usual.
Aroma is toasty, sweet malt with pleasant dried fruit esters. Grassy scents that might be from the hops. Little sweeter and bigger dried fruit than I am used to in an Oktoberfest.
Sweetness and toasty up front for the taste. This changes to dried fruit with bread and grassiness in the finish. Slight after taste of dried fruit and bread.
Medium carbonation and body in which the beer has mild feel of stickiness at times. Probably from all the malt.
I was between a 7 and an 8 on this one. It is really good but decided the sweet, bready aftertaste wasn't my favorite. Still a really strong interpretation of the style and crisp easy drinking Oktoberfest that has made my yearly purchase list. Enjoy!
