This is what happens when you are in a hurry and send the wife in to purchase a growler of beer! You end up with a beer that you yourself wouldn't pick and, then, because you don't like it, the wife decides the taste test in the bar was misleading.
There are three extra types of hops that are added to this beer to give it a slight hoppy finish.
The aromatic rye and orange blossom honey give a definite fruity scent; seems like peaches(?). The beginning of the after taste has a similar flavor to the scent. I have to admit I don't remember having another rye beer in the past, so this may be because of the rye. The rest of the after taste quickly finishes to hops. Couldn't make out any scent or flavor of honey in the beer. Little disappointed.
Although they don't really advertise it as an IPA, I would say it is one.
"Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver.'" - Jack Handy
