Overall: Sopisticated is what comes to mind with this brew. Makes us midwest, bourban barrell aged hicks think we've found a new fermentable beverage that falls between beer and wine. Surprisingly I keep sipping and sipping and sipping, and find it enjoyable.
Poured cloudy with a ton of yeast floaties. A bit of white foam that had poor retention. Lacing is thin, splotchy, and random.
Aroma is fruity, oak, vanilla, brett, and tart cherries. No sour scents as I was assuming. Nice bouquet and complex.
Taste has a bunch of cherries with funk and tart.
Lost of carbonation on top of the medium beer which dries out the palate.
I like tart beers but not sour and this is in the perfect category. Not over the top and a very drinkable beer. I hop I can get my hands on this one again. Enjoy!
