Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 21 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Date on can of 2021-11-03. Pours with a haze that make it opaque. Finger plus of off-white, tightly packed foam. Leaves sporadic juicy bits of lacing. Aroma of wheat, tart, and sweet. Citrus fruit. Taste is tart and sweet at the same time. Well balanced. Then comes the strangeness of the fruit juices. The lime comes through but I couldn't say raspberry if my life depended on it. Light body. Mediu...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 20 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Date on can of 2021-11-12. Pours opaque with over an inch of light mocha, big bubbled foam. Good retention. Lacing contains said large bubbles making it not look that impressive. Most of the lacing does creep back to level (not sticky). Aroma is undeniably sweet. Chocolate, vanilla and milk sugar intertwine creating a sense of a cake stout. Did I mention it is very sweet on the nose. Taste is simil...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 19 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours opaque due to the color. A nice finger of foam. Good retention with lacing that is sheeting but mostly falls back to liquid level leaving sporadic, sticky blotches behind. Aroma is chocolate, roast and coffee. Straight forward and pleasant. Taste is almost a duplicate of the aroma with more chocolate and roast, finishing with the addition of coffee. Roast and coffee lingers but not bitter. Med...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 18 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Date on can of 2021-11-03. Pours clear with a finger of off-white foam. Good retention, frothy and rocky. Thick sporadic lacing. Aroma is mellow. Hints of pine, tropical fruit and some spice. Caramel sweetness. Herbal. Taste reminiscent of old school India Pale Ale: caramel, hops and bitterness in the finish. Lots of pine that holds on into the finish assisting in the bitterness. Some fruit but no...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 16 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Date on can of 2021-11-03. Pours clear with a slightly pink foam that covers for a brief period of time. No lacing. Aroma is mellow. Almond and vanilla prance with a sense of caramel sweetness. Taste is very sweet with vanilla nd almond until it hits the finish when the carbonation and cranberry create an abrupt line that fights the sweets. Light body with a huge carbonation. Dry. Tis the Season i...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 16 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours clear with an inch of light tan foam. Good retention with some thick lacing that is near the liquid level. Aroma is nutty with caramel and toffee. The nuttiness is really the front runner. Taste doesn't fall far from the taste. Nutty with caramel and toffee around the edges. Hints of spice in the finish that lingers, forming a bitterness. Light end of medium body up front transitioning to medi...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 15 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours clear but as it fills the glass becomes opaque due to the color. Light tan foam covers deeply; almost half a glass. Good retention but no lacing. Slight covering throughout the drink. Aroma is oddly good for what was initially expected. No dark malts, just fruity yeast, with lemon and lime. Clean. Taste is once again fruity with with hints of lemon and lime. No real maltiness to the taste. H...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 14 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Date on can of 2021-10-27. Pours cloudy with a pure white foam that covers. Retention is a bit slight. Minor but not much lacing. Aroma of pineapple, hints of lemon, light mango and sweet. Mild tropical fruit medley. Taste is really light no matter what the descriptors. Lemon, pineapple and sweetness. There is a light bitterness to the finish that quickly defuses. Light body, too light. Huge, spr...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 13 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours opaque with a finger of tan foam. Loosely packed foam recedes quicker than typical, assuming the vanilla. No lacing. Aroma of vanilla with some chocolate. Mildly sweet. Not robust. Taste is vanilla forward. Hints of chocolate with light caramel and toffee sweetness. The vanilla really is the leader. Light body, especially for a porter. Medium carbonation. I would have like to see more body...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 12 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours opaque with a few fingers of tan foam that wants to hide rather than be proud of its beauty. Surprisingly no lacing. The nose is amazing. Roast, cocoa, and coffee prance all over the sense. Hints of sweetness are quickly beaten aback by the roastiness. Cocoa more prevalent than the coffee. Taste is initially a bit rough around the edges, almost abrasive. After the initial sip, the taste becomes...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 11 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Date on can of 2021-11-15. Pours with a tan to dark tan foam that fills half the glass (typical of the style). Unbelievable retention. Froths up nicely on the top as it recedes. Thick, sticky lacing abounds. Aroma is full of pine, similar to cutting down a damn forest. Hints of chocolate are assisted by suggestions of roast. Coffee could be looming. As it warms the coffee pushes both the chocolate ...read more

Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 10 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours with a bit of chill haze, at least that is what I am going to call it. Minimal snow white foam that recedes back almost as quickly as it is created. No lacing. The cranberry colors really come through, assuming the blood orange doesn't hurt. Color is a mix between pink and red. Aroma gives the typical berliner weiss type yeast scents. Tart yet sweet. Stating that I could pick up specific scent...read more
