Received as a gift from Sheri and Mike. Thank you! Day 1 of 24 beers of Christmas 2021. Pours cloudy with barely enough pure white foam the covers, even on a vigorous pour. The foam doesn't stand a chance based on the meager beginnings. No lacing. Aroma is NEIPA forward hops: apricot and mango jump out. Hints of orange sweetness, possibly even floral. Taste falls flat. Purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe on 2021-10-16. Date on can 2021-10-12. Aroma of sweet, orange citrus. Pleasant fruitiness. Lime twist. Taste doesn’t carry the hops as well as the nose. Purchased at Flight Bottle Shoppe on 2021-08-23. Date on can of 2021-09-14. Pours typical cloudy IPA from Hop Butcher: clarity isn't there. Huge, pillowy, deep, pure white foam covers. Great retention that continually covers. Lacing is immediate, sticky but thin. Nice in the glass. Aroma up front is indistinctive very ripe tropical fruits laid on a bed of pine with citrus nipping the edges. Takes some time to recede, leaving a thin, creamy layer on top which sticks to the sides of the glass close to level. A golden, orange hue. Aroma is dank on the initial vigorous pour. Not much depth but it makes up for it with a creaminess that is beautiful. Once the foam recedes, there is nothing left, unfortunately.
