Visited strictly for the opening time and food. Was there shortly after opening. The bartender was still getting things setup for the day. Ordered Korean friend chicken bowl based on suggestion from the bartender. Outstanding! Crispy with a touch of zing, then the medley of rice and vegetables that provided depth. Filling. I had a beer, it was good but not out of site. Only had time for one. Would like to try others Having a bartender that is recovering from a hang over doesn't always go well. But I was out for a day of American craft brewery fun. Messed up the order and was a bit busy with setup. Nonetheless, she got the order correct, taking the blame. Place is in the old Rockford Brewing Company building. It is an enormous, old, red brick building that is right on the Rock River. Huge spaces inside and a patio that had to be 30 feet wide by 150 feet long. The architecture was fantastic. Would like to be there when a bit more crowded to get a better vibe. Beers were a dollar cheaper than anything by me. That's about a 13% savings. I like a bargain. Food was just about par for most places in Northern Illinois. If I didn't have to drive around a parade, getting there would even be easier. Parking could be a problem on busy day as there is also a boat launch there.
