Description

Super Pride has parentage from Pride of Ringwood; on simple terms it is a high alpha version of Pride of Ringwood. Bred in 1987 by HPA at the Rostrevor Breeding Garden, Victoria, released commericially in 1998. It is a cross between a female tetraploid Pride of Ringwood and open male Yeoman derivative (YK-81-18).

Primarily used as a bittering hop, being the prime hop used in Australian brewed lagers.
