Hop: Galena

Description

Galena was bred in Idaho by the United States Department of Agriculture in 1968, by R. R. Romanko, being released commercially in 1978. Heritage from a female Brewer's Gold via open pollination. Galena is a result of the search for higher alpha acid hop in the United States. Highlighted as the first high alpha acid hop in bred in the United States.
